It all started back in the late 1980’s, while consuming the Standard American Diet,
that Patricia was diagnosed (by an MRI scan at the Mayo Clinic) with a pituitary tumour.
Seeking all the help she could find, her path led to Dr. Zoltan Rona, Hugh Smiley (for therapy),
a naturopath, a homeopath, and many, many others. As a result, she changed her diet,
moved to the country, and after 6 months, the disease symptoms were disappearing and her body was feeling better.
Since then, she has studied holistic health and nutrition,
herbs, iridology, colon therapy, and many other alternative therapies.
In 1992, Patricia had the honour of working with Dr. Leo Roy, M.D., N.D.,
in Kelowna, B.C. for four years. Dr. Roy helped many cancer patients,
and was nicknamed the "Master Healer" of Canada.
Dr. Roy was the first wholistic medical doctor in Canada,
worked with Renee Caisse for 25 years in Bracebridge,
Ontario, and was co-founder of the Naturapathic College in Toronto.
Having been introduced to the live/raw food diet in 2001, Patricia is convinced that this eating lifestyle puts you on the road to feeling great and experiencing pure energy and health.
Having personally seen many people who overcame their illness (herself being one),
she is of the opinion that eating an 80% (or higher) live/raw food diet
(which includes green smoothies, juices, sprouts, etc.) will enable you
to feel better mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually!
Currently, Patricia is a Living on Live Food Certified Chef and Teacher,
Graduate of the Wigmore Institute in Puerto Rico,
Graduate of the Woods Hygenic Institute in Florida (colon therapy),
and Founder of the York Region Raw Food Potluck Group ( www.rawfood.meetup.com/347).
She has lectured, written articles, and formed the York Region Co-op,
allowing people to buy the necessary staples (nuts and seeds) at a wholesale price.
She is also a moderator on the SimplyRaw website and co-organizes the SimplyRaw Festival each year in Ottawa, Ontario.
Her joy is creating Essene Health Bread!
